Sex after D&C...

So I had a D&C almost 2 weeks ago. Next Thursday that will be 2 weeks. My doctor told me to wait to have sex for 2 weeks but last night, after not having any love making for about a month because I was hurting from miscarrying, we caved and done it... Will  everything still be okay? I mean it was almost 2 weeks since my D&C and it didn't hurt we where easy compared to what it usually is. Has anyone else experienced this?
