My hubby and I have been fighting for awhile.... I love him to death but every time I mention about leavin he threatens that he'll have custody of my son... I don't want to lose him or my son... What should I do?

I'm a stay at home mom and I'm expecting baby number 2 I'm due in May of next year. I don't drive. And I don't want to work. My job is raising my kids...

Saying you don't want to work sounds really childish. If you're that unhappy to where you want to leave, woman up and get a job. Start saving. I'm a stay at home mom right now I adore staying home with my daughter but I do know I will have to get a job eventually. It's how life works. My husband works so I stay home with the baby and cook and clean. He comes home and plays video games too. If you're that unhappy and nothing is working you're going to have to work at least part time, save up and go.

Get into marriage counseling immediately. Marriage is hard work and its important to recognize when you need a little help from an outside source--like a marriage counselor. You have too much at stake to throw in the towel before you try to work through your problems. Don't be ashamed of getting help, my dh and I needed it right at the start and now we're much better off because of it.

If you're not going to work....then why would you leave? Marriage isn't easy, its what you signed up for. Unless he's abusing you, then stay. You have another kid on the way with him and you owe it to them to stay together.

I've been with my SO FOR 4 years. We have a 2 year old son. We fight A LOT but we still champ it out. I did leave him....maybe for like a day and half, but it was needed. During that time he kept calling me and crying to me that he wanted me back and that things would change. Pretty much what I am saying is that if you need a break, take it. The heart grows fonder when it is distanced for awhile. Some may not agree but it gives you time to think about things. It worked for me and my best friend who took a few months break from her SO too.

What do you guys usually fight about? If you want to make your marriage work, you have to get to the root of the conflict. No judgment, but based in your comments, I'm a little concerned that maybe you're only staying with him so he can support you. That's really not fair to either of you, or your kids.
