Cloth vs. Disposables?

Question

I really want to use chemical-free disposable diapers (aka: NOT pampers/huggies/luvs etc...)

But I'm wondering how people like cloth diapers??

What do you use / going to be using? What do you like better?

I cloth diapered my first two and loved it.   For my oldest, born 2004, I used mainly prefolds and covers.  For his younger sister I used pocket diapers because prefolds gave her a rash.  I also liked fitted diapers with wool covers like the Aristocrats.  Some brands I really liked were Fuzzi Bunz, Imse Vimse, Bummis Super Whisper Wrap, and Happy Heiny.  I tried a lot more brands than that because a good friend of mine owned a cloth diaper store.

There's the brand Honest they're chemical free and organic. They're also disposable. The whole line is made by Jessica alba. If you go on the web I believe they ship also

I like them. They're not too hard or inconvenient once you get used to them. Plus they're way cuter than disposables and in the end they save money!

I haven't gotten my bfp yet but was also thinking get about cloth diapers. My biggest concern is washing them in the same washer as other clothes...?

We switched from disposables to cloth but just switched back since we've been having issues with leaks with our heavy wetter who's also very large for his age, just spent $300 on diapers which he already grew out of 3 months later . Am saving them for when we  have a 2nd. ( now TTC)We also don't have a washer or dryer in home and were washing by hand which was the main reason we went back to disposable.

I tried cloth diapers and in one afternoon my daughter got a horrendous yeast infection, despite numerous changes. Now we've come to find that she is just very susceptible to yeast infections but for that reason, disposables were just the better choice. I say if you want to try it, go for it! But be wary not to spend too much of an investment before you know positively it will work for your baby and you. Good luck!
