Losing friends without kids?

So I just found out last week that we are expecting our first baby! :-) And we live overseas for my husband's job so we don't have family out here just our friends and it seems like we are losing our closest friend already because they don't have kids does anyone else have this problem?

Me too. I was heart broken at first about it because a lot of our friends dropped us cold turkey stopped inviting us to get together etc. I figured why should I care so much if they were true friends it wouldn't matter one bit that we are pregnant. Only my true friends stuck around and personally I rather have true friends around my baby anyways

Me! I'm living overseas with hubby as well. Also in a non-English speaking country. I'm worried about this problem too. Hopefully we can make some more friends in a mothers group or some sort of prenatal class?
