Did you have Gbs?

So I found out I have Gbs and I have to be on an antibiotics while I'm in labor. I'm worried about it even tho I know it's best for the baby. I hates needles and do want something attached to my arm while I'm trying to get relaxed to have my baby.

Gbs is group b streptococcus I believe. I had that with baby #2. Was on the antibiotics before baby was born and thankfully all went well. She's now 10 years old. Other pregnancies I didn't have that. I'm currently prego w/ baby #4 so we'll see about this one. Good luck with everything.

I had to do this with my first child and it wasn't adminitered as a shot it was just put in my IV during delivery so no worries there BUT as a fellow needle hater I can say that the IV was terrible but I think that all depends on the nurse.

I too hate needles, but you get over that. Worse then the oc going in is the penicilian they pump in ha every 4 hours while in labor... It burns... A lot. Made it through and have a healthy 2 yr old.
