Have you or will you circumcise your son?

I don't know how i feel about this topic. Looking for others insights.

Unnecessary mutilation in my opinion.  If when they are consenting adults they can elect to do so, but as an infant they are being stripped of every right to choose for themselves.
I see at as the same as piercing a baby. It's a violation that serves no purpose aside from aesthetics. What if your son DIDNT want to be robbed of a piece of himself? What if your daughter never wanted hers ears pierced. Besides, too much can go wrong to agree to an elective procedure.
DH and I discussed this and we agree. He says he can never imagine not having his "jacket", and that there's SOOOO much sensation and pleasure that he would miss out on had he been forcibly cut.

I couldn't do it, i did research on it and I can't imagine the pain. Doctors saying that some babies don't cry because the pain is beyond measurable that they go into shock not because "they don't feel it". If any of my boys want it done when they are older I'll be ok with that

My SO didn't get circumcised until he was 18. That itself played a big factor in our choice. They put him under anesthesia to do it but he wasn't given enough and woke up during the procedure. He said it hurt like hades and wished his parents had had it done while he was a baby so he couldn't remember it. When they took Nathaniel ( our son) back to have his done and after he was back he was the same happy baby. I honestly don't believe it fazed him. Also my older son hunter (he's 2) was circumcised at birth and 2 more times since then bc the skin keeps growing back. He was always back to his normal self by the time we got home from the doctors ( which was about a 10 min trip).

I had my son circumcised when he was 3 days old. Imo,  if he wants it done when he's older, he will feel it and be in pain. They don't know the difference now, and it literally lasted 2 minutes. If you're saying that you don't do it for the reason that they can decide that, then I suppose you won't get your child baptized either then, correct?  It's the same thing, just different circumstances.

A little boy I daycare (1 1/2 years old in diapers) is circumsized because it's his culture. My son isn't circumsized cuz his dad isn't and here it's not a mandatory thing, it's elective and costs about 500$ to be done.

Here in the UK this is not a common thing it's really only ethnic minorities that circumcise here I suppose we could if we wanted but  it's not a big a deal my son isn't circumcised nor is any man I've been with to be honest here we only tend to do it for religious or health reasons x
