When to start buying?

Question

Should you wait until after about 20weeks to start buying things? Also our spare room which will be the babies room is in a terrible state. Should we start working on it?

I'm afraid to start buying things. I am five weeks, but haven't seen a doctor yet. I know if this doesn't work out, I wouldn't be able to keep anything I bought for the next try. It would make me too sad. I'm going to wait a bit. At least until I see evidence of growth.

I know it is very early but we bought a crib. A neighbor was selling their used crib at a great price and it was just our style.

Another neighbor also gave away a Dutailier Glider and I grabbed that as well. Free is my favorite price!!

I guess it just depends on how you feel. I had started buying small things before I was pg. I'm 5w 1d (by my own calculations) and I'm still buying small things. For practical reasons I may buy bigger things in the after Xmas sales - which is still before 12 weeks.

If you needed to sort out the spare room anyway, it may be easier to do that before you get too big :) x
