Yeast infection

I have had one every month right before my period and this one is super bad, I've used the 3 day treatment but it's very itchy still and hurts now because it's almost like raw. I need some help on how to fix this because I'm going crazy. I'm wondering if it because of my birth control because I just started taking it 2 months ago
