Yeast infection cause by period?

I use tampons and my bf isn't here so we don't have sex and I just got over my period an my vagina (outter) is super itchy and sore. Could it be a yeast infection? I am gonna see a doctor either way but it's the weekend so I can't so anything now. Never had this problem before so I'm just wondering.

Yeast infections can really just...happen. Too tight of pants, not enough air, sweat, humidity, antibiotics. Literally anything that can set off the biological balance of your vagina's natural cleaning cycle. Try some vagisil first or pick some up to help you get to the doctor. Sometimes that's all you need.

Get some OTC miconazole cream or if your a hippy like me a good organic plain yogurt like stony field and slather that on a few times a day while sitting on a towel. Wear cotton as much as you can and go naked at night steer clear of sugar until it clears up

Omg this JUST happened. I was freaking out. It was a little bumpy too i swore i had an std lol false alarm, it was a uti. It sucks. Get better xo
