When your SO is pissed off

My SO gets mad really easily, and sometimes when he blows up on me, I let him rant, now as of lately I just can't take it anymore, and set him straight right away. So how long do you let your SO rant at you before stopping him?

To the ones that say they never argue then your pretending to be happy!!!  All couples argue even the ones that are truley in love.  Unless your the passive type and your husband gets whatever he wants then kudoes to you, bet let's be real most of us are not like that and arguing is healthy as long as it doesn't escalade to screaming, pushing, or hitting!  But I would rather my man have an opioin of his own then just do everything I tell him to.  Granted it would be nice if sometime he was like that but not all the time it would just be boring!!!

He rants to me but never at me or about me and that's important

I let him keep ranting until he starts repeating himself. Frankly I got fed up with it awhile ago so now I treat him like I would a customer when I was working. I listen acknowledge ask how he would like the problem resolved counteroffer a compromise and then resolve. I never thought that would work but then it did and now I do it only when he looks like his head is about to go nuclear just because I don't like treating him like he's at arms length.

We don't argue... The whole time we have been together we have argued maybe 3x and it ended quickly... We are best friends & when your truly in love you shouldn't argue XxxX

I tell him I'm not talking about it until he calms down and can be rational and leave the room. Works well enough.

You shouldn't be getting yelled at. Arguing is healthy, screaming/yelling is not. Very calmly tell him he can either speak to you in a respectful manor or he can leave and find someone else to abuse with his voice.

I'm the one that's very sensitive. I get my feelings hurt very easily, so I've had to work on making sure I don't get too emotional over nothing. My mother in law actually helped me with this lol 
It will seem very silly, but what she told me to do actually works!
I ask my SO to put on ear buds and listen to music as loud as he can to drown me out and just nod. I then rant and cry and break down, and let it all out. Within 2 songs, I'm done, I feel better, we hug and kiss, and life goes on.
Now, if it's something that's actually serious, that won't work. So I'll think about it quietly on my own for 24 hours before I bring it back up to him (without the ear buds lol). We sit down and discuss it. No emotions or irrational feelings, just adult conversation. And it usually gets resolved within an hour.
Just by doing this, we've gone from fighting once a week to maybe once a month.

I'm so happy to say my SO doesn't get mad easily, but I do. He let's me go on til I tire myself out which is honestly the best thing to do for me haha

We don't really argue... And we aren't pretending to be anything... If we have a problem we sit down and talk about it. We are also the type to blame ourselves before blaming anyone else. So I'm actually quite happy he doesn't blow up or get angry because I wouldn't be able to be with him if he did, I suffer from extreme anxiety so I'd probably run away... I mean we both get mad sometimes but we don't really argue...
