I told my husband I don't want to lie to my son (or any future kids) about santa. I believe that the idea of giving and be thankful and showing love to others is beautiful I just hate the hype around Santa. It's not real and from age five I just hated when my parents told us about santa coming. It's creepy. I also think it's wrong for kids to expect gifts like their owed to them. And I see so many kids act ungrateful for the gifts they get. I relate The Santa lie to telling kids Harry Potter is real. However my so says I'm being a grinch. And doesn't want our kid to be "that douchebag who ruins other kids hope". Apparently I was that douchebag kid...
