How do I tell my husband?

So I am currently the "bread winner" in my marriage and that is okay with me but at this point I really want to be a housewife. I want him to go and work 8-10 hour shifts while I handle home business and we don't have any kids but I would love to have one. How do I tell him that he needs to find a better job so I can quit mine after the February. Is this is considerate? How do I go about telling him this without sounding self-ish...
P.s no negetive comments please I'm actually asking for real advice.

What's the point of being a house wife? What would you do all day? I think it is inconsiderate. You want him to work up to 10 hours a day while you don't work at all?

Why don't you just talk to him and see if you could possibly start working part time, in exchange for taking over all of the household duties (cooking, cleaning, running errands)... It doesn't really seem fair to me for you to expect him to find a new job so you can completely quit working. If you were about to have a baby, I would understand, but I don't really get why you would being a HW for no reason.

Maybe instead of giving him a guideline and a timeline - you should sit him down and let him know your thoughts on your life together and what YOU want to do. Then talk it out together and decide if it is best for both of you. It would keep all the negative tension away and would make him feel more involved.

You need to figure out the finances first. How much money would one person need to make to float all the bills including insurance.

In our home, we both have high paying jobs though my hubby makes a little bit more with higher long term potential. However where we live, we couldn't afford being on one salary alone.

Once you figure out the amount, then you. We'd to see if he is qualified for jobs that war that much. Putting a deadline of February on it might be unrealistic.  Make a long term plan that also gives you time to save up before having a baby.

I think you and he need to have a conversation and tell him your desire. I don't think it's fair however you expect him to work 10 hours when you are fully capable of working. If he was already making enough for both that's a different story. What if he wants to be the stay at home dad?

Not everyone is fortunate enough to be a house wife. Depending on yours and your husbands salaries it may not be an option for you. 
I would bring up to your husband that you'd like to stay home and when the time comes be a stay at home mom. Then ask if you can go through your finances together to see if it's a possibility.
You may want to consider continuing to work until you actually have a child. That way you'll have a bit more of a safety net when you do stop working. That would also take a lot of pressure off your husband to find a better job immediately. Job hunting can be very stressful and it can take a long time to find the right job. Good luck! Both me and my SO WORK (different shifts) I couldn't stay home just to take care of business since I already do that and still working 10 hour shift not to mention I have 2 daughters !!!but try to talk to him best option u have

Maybe you should continue working(& saving) until you two agree to have a baby then be a stay at home mom. But be aware, it's not all it's cracked up to be. I'm a stay at home mommy/wife, expecting twins & I'm bored out of my mind!!!! There's nothing left to clean or cook lol
