When to seek help

Hi friends - I'm wondering how long did you TTC before seeking help?  Who did you see first?  Your OB...?  I'm assuming you need a reference from OB before you see a specialist.  We have been TTC with fertility in mind, monitoring closely our peek days for nearly a year.  Everything appears to be normal in terms of cycles/ovulation.  I'm so frustrated and feeling drained and now trying to decide what to do next.  Thank you.
