Confused.. no af

So, November 25th, 2014 i was 14 weeks and 5 days pregnant. I went to what I thought was a regular dr apt. We were trying to listen to the heart beat, but couldn't find it so they did an emergency ultrasound, and found that the baby stopped growing at 12 weeks. My Dr sent me to the hospital, and gave me meds to induce labor, the baby was delivered on November 26th. I had the normal bleeding after that, which lasted like 11 days. But I haven't had a period since. I've been going to the Dr for the last 4 weeks, to get blood tests done to check my hcg. It is going down, but very slow. They told me that I shouldn't try to get pregnant again until I've had at least 2 menstrual cycles, just so it's less confusing for them. But I'm tired of waiting! My son is going to be 8 in a few days, I don't want my kids to be 10 years apart! Any advice, or suggestions?! Thanks :/
