Lost my virginity

My mom wanted me to talk to her before I lost my virginity but I was scared to at the time (end of May) so I didn't talk to her and I have lost my virginity, me and the guy broke up which wasn't a big deal.

Now I'm dating this new guy, I've always had really bad period cramp and I want birth control to help with them and also I want to be safer because I am having sex.

But I didn't talk to her and I'm too scared to now since I've already done it. What should I do?
