Long distance relationship

I have been talking to this guy who goes to school 6 hours away. He is planning to come and see me a weekend this month. We met and have been talking since December so about a month and a half. Do you think when he comes down it is bad to have sex? We've talked about it and we both are okay if the other decides they want to wait. But I just don't want to rush things but we have a pretty good sexual chemistry over the phone and we've even had a little phone sex and aren't dirty texts. So is it okay to take this to the next step?
