Romance-less

My husband is a great guy and a great guy, but he sucks in the romance department. We've been together for 12 years and in the beginning he was so romantic with writing me notes, flowers, chocolate and jewelry. He even set his robe on fire one time by lighting candles all over our bathroom while putting rose petals in the bath for me. I really don't care avout getting gifts, I just miss the gesture and the thought of it all. We just had an anniversary and he didn't get me anything. Today is Valentine's day and yet again nothing. I always get him stuff from balloons to chocolate or something I know he would like. I just miss the romance. I never doubt he loves me and even he agrees he's about a 3 in the romance department. I just feel sad about it all. I suppose I should stop always getting him stuff so I won't constantly be disappointed...
