My husband just got news today that because his old unit didn't take it seriously that he won't be able to do EOD like he wanted to.  He has a year left and if his shoulder doesn't heal by than which it most likely won't (they can't do surgery) he won't be able to reenlist either. He has wanted to do EOD since he joined 4 years ago. I just feel so bad for him and I'm 700 miles away. I feel so helpless. I know he's so pissed off that if it was caught in time he would but his old unit didn't take it seriously and the doctor never looked at his X-rays. I don't know how to help him? He just got a puppy that he's going to have trained as a therapy dog once he's old enough for his ptsd. I just don't know what to say to make him feel better, especially since he's acting like its no big deal, even though I know it is. He is in the USMC btw.
