How to deal with sore breasts

My period is due next week. My breast are swollen and sore. I just had my IUD removed in Nov. so my cycles are still working themselves out. I have had an IUD or been pregnant for the last 8 years. I do not remember if I ever did anything to help relieve the pain. Do you ladies have any remedies? I am not pregnant. There really is no way I could be pregnant so please do not think no am looking for someone to tell me to take a test. I just want to be able to life my arms without my breasts feeling like they are going to pop!
