Does taking birth control cause infertility?

Question

I have heard varying stories of "If you use birth control it could potentially become permanent after a few years." I just want to know how true this is. (I asked the Doctor and she just glazed over the question.)

A friend of mine took birth control from high school until this past summer when she got married (ten years). She was pregnant within three months of not taking it. I've never been on birth control and have been ttc for almost a year with no luck. It just depends in your body.

It depends on your body ...I had a friend who stop takin her pills and she got pregnant with twins after a miscarriage
