Should I get engagement photos taken with my fiancé?

I just don't know if I should because I don't have a ton of money to spend for my wedding, plus I don't plan on sending save the dates to my guests. But I know a lot of couples do this, that's why im conflicted.

If you don't have the money but just want a picture or two to document this moment in your life - ask a buddy to just snap a few shots for you. Nothing fancy. Pay your friend in food or beer! For my "engagement" picture just found a nice spot outside in a place that was special to my man and I. I put my point and shoot camera on a tripod, set the timer, ran into the shot... And bam! We took exactly one photo and are totally happy. Just a little picture to send to the grandparents. :)

I didn't and don't regret it. My friend had me take some with a nice digital camera for her save the dates. If you think it's something you'll miss, definitely do it; even if it's just having a friend take some cute pictures.

We didn't! And we don't regret it at all! We also didn't hire a photographer for the wedding either, and we still have great photos. Cameras on phones these days are some high quality stuff. 😉
