Negative day before period due

I tested this morning with FMU and got a bfn. I used a cheapie strip test.  AF was due today or is due tomorrow. I have a very regular 28-29 day cycle. Today as cd28. I have no symptoms of AF or of pregnancy. I'm really hoping I'm not out this cycle.
