Other people and their opinions on names

Oh. My. Goodness. Too many opinions about baby names. DH and I finally said we won't talk about it anymore and literally won't tell anyone the name we pick out until birth. I have nearly CRIED bc some people's responses have been so rude and hurtful. This is the first grandchild for both my parents and Hubby's parents so it's a really big deal to everyone.  I know I'm probably being  sensitive but Anyone else experienced this and how do you respond?
