Anyone else think pregnancy announcements are lame?

I was wondering if I'm the only one who thinks the cheesy pregnancy announcements are silly and tacky?  I mean of course to each her/his own and you can do whatever but I just have no interest in making a corny announcement on Facebook or anywhere else.  Also not into maternity photoshoots... Anyone else or am I alone in thinking this?

We did a gender reveal maternity photo shoot and another maternity photo shoot at the end of my pregnancy. I think it's a great to have beautiful pictures to remember your pregnancy. I get it's not for everyone but I love mine and am glad I did it(:

My mums a photographer so there's no way if get out of doing a photo shoot. Plus it'll be nice when I'm old to look at and go 'see kids, I was fat because I ate the last kid who was naughty'

I mailed out Christmas cards that announced our pregnancy so obviously I do not agree. I think it's nice to let family know who you do not see or talk to all the time. I'd rather hear about it ahead of time then just get a baby shower invite in the mail.

I only think the naked pregnancy shoots are a little weird. Not something I would want to pass down to my kids one day.

I did an announcement. With my first I was young and didn't get to do anything so this time I want the opportunity to do it!

I'm not a fan of announcements either I think they're a bit cheesy for myself people know I'm not like that ... I'm 15 weeks and I don't have Facebook anyway but I haven't announced on my partners Facebook nor has he , but the people who need to know got a pic of the scan at 12 weeks through inbox and now I'm showing if anyone asks il say yeah I'm pregnant that's just me though , my friend knew first because I had the faintest line and my partner didn't believe me lol so I asked her what she thought, she knew I was already though before i even knew because she's my hairdresser and my hair reacted different to my normal highlights , she thought I was but didn't want get my hopes up bless her
