When is the most important day to bd?

Hey all! I am using the Clearblue Digital Advanced Ovulation Test and just got a blinking smiley a few days ahead of schedule... In your experience, or from what you've heard, what is the most important day to bd? If I believe the test, I'll be ovulating Thursday or Friday...

I would bd every other day when flashing and when you get your peak or right before you peak have sex the day before the day of and the next two days after.

My clearblue digital machine always goes blank. It errors I don't know why. I've tried 5 of them. I pee on it. What am I doing wrong ? Please advice :(
