Birth of Ella

on Friday 27th they offered me an induction as I had high blood pressure. so at 9am on Saturday 28th I went in to be induced using cervidil, the lady that did it had no idea how too & left the string hanging out, she mucked up 3 inductions that day! I pushed the string in myself. I started having really painful contractions at 9:30 that night that continued until 4:30 when I finally got to sleep then bam i thought I had wet myself but my waters had broken. I called my midwife to come up to the hospital & when she arrived I was only 2cm. I had the epidural & I tell you it is a god send! Had that at 6:30 & was still at 2cm they thought my labor would stall as my contractions died off so they put the drip in & then at 10 ish I started to gain my feeling back at the bottom of my Tum & was in really horrible pain so they upped the dosage of the epidural & at 10:30 I could still feel the pain so the midwife checked me & basically her face dropped & she said 'Kate your fully & her head is right here' & I just burst into tears. Pushing was a breeze with the epidural I didn't feel anything at all was even singing & joking, Ella was born at 11:37am on the 29th of March 6lb 11oz she is perfect, my nipples have started cracking though so not sure how long that will last! 💜💜💙💙💕💕
