How bad did it hurt to give birth naturally? 16 years old and 18 weeks and so freaking scared 🙈

If I am being brutally honest your reaction to the pain can determine the intensity of the pain, I asked similar questions to my midwife and she said the same thing and she wasn't wrong! The pain is not actually that bad at all.   I had natural labour with my first with zero pain relief,  I made sure I relaxed and let my body do what it needed to do, if you fight it and panic the pain will be ten times worse.

It's pretty bad. I'm not gonna lie, you don't actually forget the pain when your LO is placed on your chest. You just don't care. It's like your mind clicks and says "HEY!!!... This beautiful little life had to come out one way or another."

It sucks but worth it i went epidural with my first two then with our third i didnt get an epidural in time it wasnt as painful more uncomfortable but totally worth it now would i do it again no lol i would go for an epidural in a second.

I thought the pressure was worse than the contractions and according to the nurse the epidural can't change how much pressure you feel. That being said right after I gave birth I thought "Meh I could do this again."

At 16 your hips will be a little smaller than if you were older.  So it may be more painful, in your case, than usual.  I tried to go natural with my firstborn and ended up having back labor.  The pain was so bad and intense I got stuck at 8cm dilation.  They told me I HAD to get an epidural so my body would relax enough to dilate the rest of the way or is have to get a c-section.  As soon as I got the epidural I dilated to 10cm and was able to push him out about 15 minutes after.  I was in labor for 22 hours.  It would have been a lot faster and less painful if I had just gotten the epidural earlier.

I tried my hardest to not get an epidural because I was terrified something might go wrong with a needle in my spine. Not going to lie to you but the epidural did not cover a the pain. I was only allowed to lay on my sides and my legs would go so numb I couldn't move them. I felt the contractions even with the epidural and they hurt bad. BUT the epidural allowed me to relax enough to sleep a few hours and to dilate from 6 to 10 and a -3 station to a +2 in a few hours. They got it in at 10 pm but didn't check me until 5am so I'm not sure exactly how long it took. I only took the epidural when the pain was so bad it made me go into shock.

Bad! Thought I was literally going to die. But you'd definitely forget the pain once the baby is on your chest.

Do you not want to get an epidural? That's always an option. If not, I would take some natural birthing classes. Hypnobirthing is great as well. You will be fine don't worry!
