Escaping Air

So last night, my SO and I had amazing sex. He finished while we were in doggy style, which is one of my favorites, perfect angle. When he pulled out my lady part let out an insane amount of air, causing me to have a vaginal fart, or whatever yall call it, and then a few more times. First time this has happened, laughter ensued between the both of us, I was partially embarrassed, but in the end he reassured me that it was okay and told me there was no reason to be embarrassed, that it's normal. My question is, should I avoid that position if I don't want that to happen again? Is there something I can do to avoid it? I understand that it happens occasionally, just don't want it to be a regular occurrence. We've been having sex for like 5 months, multiple times a week.
