Sex Before PostPartum Visit??

I'm 5 weeks post, I go the 14th for my check up. I only had one tear. My fiance is well at his limit and I read women have done it right after. (Nutty lol) I was wondering if it would be okay to have sex again if we used a condom so no infection gets in there. I only have four days to go just wanted to know some other peoples experience and what they think I should do.

We had sex a little early after our second baby. I wasn't letting him near me without the ok after #1. My appointment with #2 was scheduled for 7 weeks so I gave in a little early. My appointment with #3 was scheduled for 5 weeks so I told him he could wait. It's whatever you're comfortable with. Take it slow and easy and definitely use a condom if you don't want to get pregnant again. My mom went for her 6 week checkup after having my sister and found out that day she was pregnant with me. We were born less than  a year apart. Good luck!

To be completely  honest  . Your should wait . But I can't tell people things I didn't do my self . Listen to your body is the best advise I can give you I did it around this time . And I was fine and I didn't tear at all . But listen to signs do you feel up to sex . Are you sore so on and so fourth . But if you your nerves then just wait.  Fyi . And if you do decide to do it tell him to be easy.

I had a c section my paperwork said that sex was OK after 4 weeks if I wasn't bleeding anymore....we had sex once at 4 weeks...but you need to think about your body and if its going to be painful and such and make sure to use protection if you do because you are extremely fertile after having a baby

Thank you all so much! :) very insightful. The Dr who came in at the hospital wasn't who delivered my son. But was like be prepared at your check up to talk birth control and not to use tampons or douche etc and not to have sex. Me personally I don't have any pain I'm not bleeding and feel like I'm ready just nervous cause I've read so much about it hurting.

I think it depends on your situation and what your doctors says about your specific situation. my doctor was pretty insistant, but I had a c-section and was probably fine before the 6-week mark. we didn't because my doctor was so insistant, but I think it was mostly because she had seen so many woman have a baby and then get pregnant during those 6 weeks, so she just strongly advised against sex so quickly to prevent that from happening.
