Bummed out (Cant land a job)..Advice please
Hey ladies,
I am losing hope and I feel so depressed. I have over 15 years of work experience. I have my bachelors and masters degree. I was let go in January from my job. I have been getting tons of interviews but it is always the same result. "We appreciate you taking the time but we have gone with another candidate or we are going another route".
It makes me so upset because I put so much into every single interview. I go above and beyond to stand out from the competition. For example: I make each interviewer a portfolio to keep which includes my resume, transcripts, and other certificates or accomplishments. I research the company, the person I'm interviewing with, I have all my key points ready, and I am very well spoken.
But why am I not landing a job? A little side note to this is that I miscarried in December and was let go of my job in January when my doctor prescribed me clomid. I felt like the responsible thing to do was to wait to take it until I get a job. The longer it's taking to get a job the more time I'm delaying trying to conceive.
Please help me I am desperate at this point to find a job. I'm 35 years old and time for trying to have a baby is slipping through my fingers.
If you have job tips or ideas, or can make some sense out of why I'm not getting hired please help me understand.
