Because age is more important than happiness.

Because a 19 year age gap means that the person I love, shouldn't be with me.

According to those who have never met him or seen us together, and some of whom don't even know his name, he's just with me for sex.

They don't know what we've been through, or how he kisses my cheek while I fall asleep in his arms. They don't know how we've stood beside each other through our troubles.

And because he's older, I need to go to church because that's "not acceptable". My happiness is unacceptable. I always knew it would be!
