Shaving down there

So I've recently started shaving my area because my SO told me that he prefers it. He didn't force me to, said he liked me how ever, but I did it anyway.

So what I need help with is it has been 3 days since I shaved it and its all irritated, itchy and red bumps almost like little tiny pimples. They showed up about a day and a half after I first shaved.

How do I get them to go away and not come back when I shave again?
