Did this happen to anyone?

Went to get a six week ultrasound this morning. Dr said my uterus is back and high...seen the sack but couldn't see the heart beat...baby is also measuring early (5w 5d)...did this happen to anyone and they see the heartbeat the next ultra sound? So worried!

Totally common don't worry! This is why most OBs don't even want to see you until at least 8weeks. 5 weeks is very early, that little bean is just a tiny speck right now! I'm high risk so I went in at 6.5 weeks for my first appt. and the doctor could see everything on ultrasound including heart beat but it was still so tiny we couldn't even hear it with the monitor! Went back at 10 weeks and heard and saw it all, I'm now 24 weeks pregnant with my healthy baby boy!

That is too early to see the heartbeat some times. I wish they wouldn't do ultrasounds that early it just scares mothers when they don't see the heartbeat. I've been pregnant twice and they've never done an early ultrasound like that. I've only ever had one at around 20 weeks. Except for during my first pregnancy when I had a blood clot scare me when it came out and they did one to check but he was fine. they used the wand thing on the inside I think it's called a transvaginal ultrasound.

Yes! It's incredibly common. It happened to me and they told me straight out its super early. Went back at 8 weeks and the baby was there.

They couldn't on mine either but then she done a transvignal ultarsound and got the heart rate. I couldn't hear it thou my doc had to tell me what it was at my next appointment
