Was your husband reserved with excitement?

Question

He's really happy and excited, and now at 7 wks he's more interested in getting informed, but I feel like every little thing is this unspoken perspective of "we shouldn't (tell people, decide on a name, share the name at the gender reveal party) in case there is no baby." I can't stand it! 
I feel like, the current situation is pregnacy and nothing we do will cause or prevent a tragedy, and just because we get past this "12 weeks" thing doesn't mean we're in the clear anyway. Just embrace the blessing as we know it right now... 
I don't mean I want to share it with everyone or employers right now, but  why can't we discuss labor right now and be prepared?
I am trying to be patient as guys take longer to process these things but it's hard not to take it personally. Get it together dude!

My husband was the same way. He gets more into it and excited the farther along I get.

I felt the way he did. I didn't want to tell people I was pregnant the have to tell them I miscarried. I didn't want to pick names because it would be harder for me if I miscarried. I just needed time to process. He might feel the same way.

You have to respect his feelings too though... I felt the exact same way (and even now at 36+3 I am reserved withheld excitement) it is still very hard to believe there is really a baby and that I will be a mom in about a month. Give him time to process and be kind!
