Positive OPK?? TTC for months

opk?? TTC for months" /> So we've been ttc for months now and trying to track ovulation with all these clearblue digital OPKs. I never get the solid smiley. Only blinking one or neg. Last month it was the blinking smiley for 9 days then I stopped checking. They go from neg to blinking around my 16cd. 
This month it went from 2 days of neg, then 3 days blinking to a big solid smiley today on my 12cd!! 
 This is the first month I backed it with a regular opk test. It's the first time I've had a super dark test line!!!

Fair to assume I'm ovulating right?!?

Maybe? There is no telling if your body actually ovulated...I know so frustrating! But if there is no luck this month then get the easy clearblue ovulation kit (pink one) my doctor said if your estrogen doesn't rise with the lh hormone then you will never get a solid smiley face! I was using those for months and never got a solid smiley face! Baby dust for you!

Stacey is correct. Something else could be going on. Keep tracking and if you aren't preggo after 9 months of trying talk to your doctor. I know they make you wait 12 months but you can explain how the OPKs work (or don't work) for you. If you have higher than average levels of LH, the OPKs might not work correctly for you.

A positive OPK doesn't guarantee that you will ovulate. However, it does indicate that hormones are present for ovulation. Typically you ovulate within 48 hours of getting a positive OPK. I did have a couple of cycles where I got a positive OPK but ended up not ovulating. If you're not tracking your basal body temperature, I highly recommend it!
