Period smell !

I'm about 185lb and i get a VERY heavy flowww.

& it smells horrible and i change my pad constantly more then normal because i hate the feeling and smell. I NEVER go outside when i have my period it usually last 2weeks i have very irregular periods x doc knows about it. But it smells so awful and i clean good too . What can i possibly use while on my period or on my pads to make it smell fresher maybe ? I was told alot of powders harm down their but I'm not sure ?
