Does this make me Co-dependent?

I've been with my SO for two years and this is the second time I have been seperated from him. I am on a 4 day trip to Missouri to visit my Aunt and Uncle and it's been 3 days already and I just miss him..to the point where I begged him to drive up here to see me lol. I just love him alot. We live together so not many days go by that we don't see each other.

Is this unhealthy?

Yes, co-dependent for sure. I'm just not that kind of woman. I was never the kind to call a man constantly wanting to hear his voice or just have him on the phone for hours at a time because I couldn't deal to be without him. Much less beg him to come see me when I'm out of town. I don't like being seen as weak and needy. Guess I'm too headstrong. I enjoy my independence. Which is why I try to teach my nieces.....to be a woman who doesn't need a man to make her feel secure.

I don't think you're using the word codependent right. I think you're definitely dependent and not independent if you can't go three days without begging your SO to see you. Missing your SO is normal of course, but you should be able to contain yourself and enjoy your time away from him.

I don't think it's unhealthy. I miss my hubby's me crazy when I leave for business or he goes away for business.

I went through the same thing, but now we've been together so long and I've been away from him often enough that I can relax when he or I are away. I used to pine away, toss & turn at night, and I'd hardly get any sleep. Then I'd be melancholy the following day.

When your relationship matures, so will you, and then absence will make the heart grow fonder, as they say.

Oh my gosh girl no!! My man has a job where he isnt supposed to go out of town but he has been recently cause his boss is a *fucking basterd* so sorry for my language, & after he walks out the door I realize he will be gone for a few days I just cry.. lol I love this man more than life.. I hate being away from him and although he pushes me out of bed every night, I wouldnt have it any other way. I need to sleep next to him
