I was on the depo shot for about 3 or 4 years, but I gained 20 pounds. when I got off it, I immediately lost the 20. i also felt like myself again? as the depo messed with my emotions and I felt foggy/depressed all the time.
I've also used the patch for a while, but it wasn't for me.
I'm thinking of an implant because I want one without hormones? idk any advice for me? 😖

I chose Paraguard because it is the only form of reversible, long-term birth control that is hormone and hassle free. Some doctors prescribe hormonal birth control to "help regulate the cycle" but it actually just shuts it off so your body can't ovulate. This deprives the body of the hormones it needs to function properly and why so many women have negative side effects.

I wanted to be able to track and regulate my natural cycle but was not comfortable using fertility awareness methods because my cycle was irregular. This is why I chose Paraguard. If you do not have very heavy periods or severe cramping it may be an excellent choice for you too! Good luck and feel free to ask me anything :)

I'm too sensitive myself to hormones and chemicals. I have to use fertility awareness method because of the side effects I get from the other options.
