SO DRINKING AFFECTS?

So my SO and I have been together for 5 years, been unprotected for about a year now. Hit a year in February. I get my period monthly and basically the same length every month. My SO drinks basically every day, doesn't get drunk but yes drinks. He'll get drunk mainly on the weekends.  Is this affecting our chances ? Is that like one of the reasons we haven't "accidently" gotten pregnant yet? Please girls give me feedback 😖 !

I would say that he sounds pretty close to an alcoholic so yes, he's probably going to have mobility issues. If you want kids I would truly stop or cut down now.

Thanks girls, means a lot!!   I knew his drinking had to have a affect/ effect which ever it is on this. It's so frustrating.  But for sure I'll give him a big talk and show him evidence.  Again thank you all! 😘

Drinking can have an effect on fertility. My cousin and her husband were tying for a while to have a baby. The doctor told her husband that he couldn't have kids. He was also a very heavy drinker. He started cutting back on his drinking a lot and then BAM!! They're now pregnant. His drinking had a lot to do with it. Try to get your SO to slowly cut back on drinking. Maybe only have a drink on the weekends and not during the week. That's a start.

Alcohol is proven to lower sperm count and the health of the sperm so what he does have probably aren't strong swimmers.

I have a friend whose husband drank that way. They got pregnant twice, once accidentally once not. However, the one they were TTC for did take a year and a half. Good luck.
