Baby backpack harness, has anyone used them??

We're going to the zoo on Monday and my daughter is 16 months and hates a stroller, but we're still taking it so she can rest if needed.. But I use to be one of those people against the harness but now having my own daughter I see it as a safely thing.. I trust my child not to run off but i don't trust other people.

My nieces and nephews wear them everytime we go to the zoo. And they certainly are needed!! My niece who is 3, will run off and if you tell her to stop she laughs and keeps going. She thinks its a game, with the harness she can't do that. Children are so playful and do not realize things. The zoo is always packed with people, and it would be easy to lose a little one. I plan to use one with my son when he is in that age range. Safety is important :)

My little brother used to run off and hide in clothing racks without a harness. I think there is a role for such things, you just have to be careful. I know there's those videos of people dragging a kid by the harness, and that's clearly the wrong way to use them. I have to assume that most people don't do that!

My lo is too young to use one, yet once she is old enough I will because like you said I trust her just not other people. Babies get taken too quickly and I will protect my lo as much as I can. :-)
