No matter how many times I wipe it with a warm rag It comes back

I ended up taking her to the dr Monday and she had a blocked tear duct and the dr gave her an ointment that goes in the corner of her eye

Totally normal! The tear ducts are still very immature. Both my babies had that. Just keep using a clean warm moist washcloth to remove the gunk.

My daughter had the same thing she had a clogged tear duct. Take her to your doctor's & let them know you are concerned they will prob have you see a specialist for it.  They told me that if it didn't go away before her 1st birthday they would possibly do surgery to fix it. it cleared up though just had to keep cleaning it.  They gave me drops to help clean it but they only worked for so long.  
She should be fine though just talk to your doctor about it.
