False negative with these test?

These test are from the dollar tree. I took a test 10dpo and 12 dpo and both were negative. AF is three days late and that is definitely not normal for me I usually start like clockwork. I am afraid to take another test because I don't want to be let down. Has anyone gotten a BFN using these test and then found out you were pregnant?

Might just be you don't have enough HCG levels to pick up the positive

I tested the day before my expected period with that test and it was negative. Tested again the day of my expected period and it still looked negative, or at least so faint I wasn't sure. Tested with a different test same day and got a positive. Call me crazy but then I tested again with the .88 test day after my expected period and it was very obvious then. Apparently one day made a difference in picking up the hormone for that particular test
