Do you think it's safe to eat lunch meat while pregnant?

I read all this stuff about not eating cold deli meats but all I'm craving is some Jimmy Johns. My bf said his mom ate subway all the time when she was pregnant. I just feel so guilty when I even think about eating something I'm not supposed to. However, some sources I've read say to stay away from deli meat and others just say to be cautious/eat sparingly. Thoughts?
