Does the chance of miscarriage go down after the first trimester?

I read that chance of miscarriage goes down after the first trimester(12th week) with a single pregnancy..is it the same with twins? I'm 11 weeks 3 days with fraternal twins..and I am scared daily of losing them. I had a miscarriage at 7 weeks directly before my pregnancy now. My twins are doing amazing I was just curious...

Hi Kenzi. I'm 14.4 weeks with fraternal twins and also paranoid daily! At my 12 week scan I was told everything was fine and miscarriage risk drops to less than 2%! I think once I hit that 20 week mark I will calm down a bit and panic less :)

I know exactly how you feel, I have two kids, & am 22 weeks with fraternal twins, a boy & a girl. I've been worried the whole pregnancy, but yes your chances of miscarriage lower dramitically after the 1st trimester, & after hearing a heartbeat. I had bleeding from 6 weeks up until 14 weeks, when I first started bleeding at 6 weeks 5 days I thought for sure I was having a miscarriage, & I didn't know I was having twins at the time. Thankfully I wasn't, & the did a US & that's when I found out I was having twins. I was bleeding because of a subchronic hemorrhage, which I heard is more common then it seems, it went away by 14 weeks. Both Babis have been doing great, baby A-girl has a marginal cord insertion, so they give me more Ultrasounds to monitor her growth, but is she is growing good!! Trust me you'll probably be worried throughout the pregnancy, once one worry lessens another worry arises, at least for me. Just try to stay positive, & everything will go good!!

I had a miscarriage at 9w3d and after it passed I got pregnant right after now I'm 27w1d so yes ☺️ congrats
