Religious people.

Right. I'm religious too. I have a question for some of you.

Say an atheist comes along, (I mean primarily on Glow and the Internet), and says something against your religion (whatever your religion may be), what do you say? If you say "this is wrong".. That's your belief, right? So then what happens if I come along and tell you that, "I'm sorry but.. You're wrong. This is what I believe."

It's about faith, it's about belief. I get that. But you know how everyone always says "I don't care what your faith is, just don't shove your beliefs down my throat"? That's exactly what I'm saying here. Why does your faith trump mine? Why do atheists and agnostics not get an opinion or say? Why does our belief that there's a God trump their opinion/nonbelief?

Now, I understand that it's offensive when people call my God, or your God/s, names. But it has to be equal. If you're allowed to tell people that your God says that they're wrong, then they have the right to tell you that your God is wrong.

Does anyone get what I'm trying to say?

I just see people constantly telling others that they're wrong and preaching.. And I just want to turn around and say "well, my God says that you should cover up that cleavage that you're showing, but I don't see you listening to Him. Wait, why should you? Oh yeah, you don't believe in my God. Then why should this gay person listen to what you're saying? They don't believe in your God, so everything you're saying has no bearing."

If you want to talk about religion, do it with a person of your own religion. Preach to each other. When it comes to someone who doesn't believe in what you believe in, try to talk talk logic and facts. Not faith. I mean, of course, unless the other person wants to talk about faith too. I tell my friends about my religion. But I would die before I would force someone into my religion. My God would hate it too.
