Breastfeeding pain
My LO is now 10 days old and I'm struggling a lot with pain when breastfeeding. I saw a lactation consultant who assured my the latch was ok, and that the issue is likely that she has a strong suck and a small mouth that is squeezing my nipple. The feeding is painful the entire time and I can only stand to do it for 10 minutes 1-2 times per day.
I know it sounds strange, but other than the pain I love breastfeeding and it makes me so sad I can't do it more.
I'm trying to pump to make up for the rest, but I hate pumping. I basically have to sit and do nothing for 30 minutes every 2-3 hours. I don't even know how I'll be able to do it anymore after my husband goes back to work. I don't know how much longer I can keep this up.
Has anyone else dealt with anything like this? Did it get better? How long do I have to wait?
