I don't mind people saying they're Christian.

What bothers me is when people say;
- I'm going to "hell" 
- their belief is the only true belief
- "I'll pray for you" in a condescending way 
- I'm lost because I don't believe
- I need "God"

And it REALLY bothers me when people use bible passages to "argue" their point. I get it's a part of your belief, but it won't sway me.

I'm a Christian but I have to say it bothers me when Christian's overdo it like that. I feel that is part of what makes Christians look bad! IMO it pushes people away instead of drawing them in. We're interacting through the Internet. I sure don't think acting like that is going to change anyone's mind lol. If your talking face to face with someone and that's where the convo goes well that's different. I'm not here to change anyone's mind. Do I want people to experience some of the things I have, of course! It's freaking awesome! But here is not the place

But, I don't like being told about the Christian God being great and good every time I turn around. And that I should be Christian or I'm going to burn in Hell for all eternity.
I was raised Christian and was baptized around 10/11, and around 15/16 renounced Christ(Christianity) for what's feels right for me.

So please keep your over zealous urge to tell others their wrong and gonna burn because they don't have Jesus in their heart to yourselves, unless they actually seek you out.

Here's my thing.

People have a right to their beliefs, even if I don't share them. That's the beauty of the First Amendment. I like learning about what other people believe and why they feel that way. If someone is expressing genuine concern or sadness or even joy over a topic I happen to share, and offer praise or prayers, I will accept them, regardless of the religion behind them. I can tell when someone is being kind.

What I DON'T like is when I get the comments about how I live a meaningless/sad/worthless/insert other pejorative description here/ life because I'm a nonbeliever, how I'm a bad American (yes, I've really heard it,) how I'll burn in hell (I have screenshots,) people saying they will pray for my soul or for me to "see the light," or that my sister's death was "God's plan." I will push back if someone uses their religion as an excuse to be a jerk.

As far as witnessing goes, I don't personally like it. If I am interested in converting, I will ask for information. I don't like having it shoved in my face.

If the question is about satanism (for example because that topic is up atm) I understand if they say "I'm a believer of god" etc just like a Buddhist might say what they believe or an atheist might say "I don't believe in anything", but to jump in and be like "JESUS LOVES YOU" "IM PRAYING FOR YOU" "SATANISM IS A JOKE" totally wrong.

AND let's not forget that if they(anyone in general) ARE going to try to stir things up they should at least be educated on the religion/belief that they are trying to argue about. (For another example, satanism isn't JUST worshipping satan, there are two different kinds, know about both of them).

I consider myself a Christian but I hate when people push any religion or lack of in another person's face. My beliefs are my own. If someone asks me, I'll tell them what I believe. I Don't shove it in anyone's face and I expect the same courtesy from others. If you Don't believe, that's fine and it's your choice. If you believe differently than I do, that's fine and your choice. I Don't know what happens after death. I've never been there so I Don't know. I hope that there's something out there and that I'll get to see my loved ones again but I can't know for sure. That's what faith is. I Have faith that God will reunite me with those I love in death. The only other thing that bothers me is when people use Christianity to justify their prejudices. It bothers me when people hate and discriminate against people and excuse it by their religion. I choose to believe my religion is about love and helping others, not hate. Don't drag the name and reputation of my religion through the dirt to justify your prejudices. Oh, and Don't judge all Christians because the actions of some are inexcusable. We're not all a bunch of bible thumping, prejudicial a-holes. Some of us are actually decent people who just like to help others.
