Do you have to eat deli meats hot or is it ok to let them cool after hearing?

I'm just curious! I want a cold turkey sandwich SO BAD. Wondering if it would do any good to zap it, put the meat back in the fridge, then eat when cold?

I eat whatever I want. Just like life before being pregnant. Women have been doing this for years. If it looks good,eat it.

So this deli meat thing is new...when I was pregnant with my first (12 years ago), these weren't off limits and I LOVED turkey and chili cheese dogs (hot dogs off limit now too). She is perfectly fine btw. But what I've heard is that the deli meat should be very fresh so go to Jimmy John's or something where they have fresh delis everyday. Just don't buy some and have it sitting in the fridge and eat it then. It's the risk of listeria poisoning that's the problem so google that for more info if you'd like

My midwife says to let them cool in the fridge after heating, but to eat them the same day they were heated.

I've never heard of having to eat them heated up before! It's not as though the meat is raw, so I'm not sure as to why it would need to be heated..

I've never warmed mine up, i don't like warm deli meat. I just have it occasionally though.

I just ate a nice, cold ham sandwich... It was awesome. Lol
I try not to worry too much. There are way worse things to do while pregnant than snack on some deli meat.

The only way I've eaten cold meat is when we cook a whole ham in the oven and then refrigerate leftovers for sandwiches. I dont eat leftovers after 2-3 days anyway just to avoid bacteria.
