Feeling for your uterus?

This will sound silly but it has me bothered and Google isn't helping lol

Is it safe to feel for/try to palpate your uterus? I'm 13+2 today. I worry a lot because I lost my last pregnancy (it was very early on, but it still bothers me) and my mother told me horror stories about how she had two second trimester losses... My husband wants to try to feel for it but I wanted to be sure it was okay to do. Thanks in advance ladies.

Yeah, it's fine. He won't need to push hard at all, just have him start feeling at your pubic bone. You can find the fundus of the uterus by feeling upwards from the pubic bone. At this point it really shouldn't be too far above the pubic bone. Your clinician will be feeling it at every visit soon so that they can measure the fundal height. At 16 weeks it should be halfway to your belly button and 20 weeks it should be right at your belly button.

I feel it all the time!! Mine is well above my belly button already but I love feeling it every day and seeing if it's grown!
