Is this normal?! First period after MC

Period just returned (I think??) and is scary heavy. Bleeding through super plus tampon in under an hour and passing clots the size of my palm. It's freaking me out. Anybody have a similar experience??

I just got my first period yesterday after a d&c May 1st ....... I literally feel like death. Im bleeding so much and the pain is unbearable. Im taking 800mg of ibuprofen every 6 hours and it's not helping. Walking or standing hurts soooo much 😞 if this pain persists in going to see a doctor. Just scared they're going to tell me the pain is normal and I just have to "deal with it" 😔

Yes, for me it was normal. I had a missed misscarriage in early February. One week after seeing the heartbeat, i learned the heartbeat was no longer there. I did not have a D and C. And i wish that experience on noone, not even my worse enemies. If a d and c is offered - my advice is go for it. I have had 2 periods since my misscarriage and both have been horrendous. I am unable to leave the house for the first 2 days of my cycle. I go through a super absorbency tampon and an overnight pad every hour. My OBGYN tells me that its just my body returning to normal.  My only advice is to have your iron levels checked, i have become severly anemic - between the horrible missed misscarriage and these last two cycles. A hopeful sign though - i just had my third cycle, and while still extremley heavy it has returned to a more normal 5 days. The two prior cycles seemed endless, at 7 to 8 days each. Im really sorry you are experiencing this too.   All i can say is, treat yourself with love and kindness. And dont fight any cravings you may have - you deserve it. You may just have to send someone else out for whatever it is you desire. My heart is with you during this hard time
